I’m am always being asked “what can I do to get the best pictures on my wedding day?” As a documentary style photographer, I typically shoot what I find in place without reorganizing things. I love to get pictures of the wedding dress if possible but so many times it is still “locked up” in its bag with plastic hangers. I would suggest two things to brides.
1) take your dress out of the plastic bag. If it has a train, go ahead and let the train down to reduce or eliminate the wrinkles from where the train was hung up along the back.
2) invest a little bit of money or time to acquire a pretty SOLID hanger for the dress. I know of at least one of my brides that actually took extra fabric from the the bridesmaids dresses and had a hanger made. 🙂
If you’re not especially handy or kin to a talented seamstress well the INTERNET is your friend!
