How did you meet?
We were mutual acquaintances through friends for a few years, but then reconnected at a wedding where B was the Maid of Honor and J was the Best Man.
What detail did you like best about your wedding day?
B – “…how many friends and family came to help us celebrate our marriage.”
What was your favorite moment during your wedding day?
J-“…getting to marry my best friend.”
What detail did you like best about your wedding day?
J-“…the ambiance of our first dance.”
What was your favorite moment during your wedding day?
B-“…having our first dance as an official married couple…just Justin and me.”
What’s next on your calender as a couple?
After coming back from our honeymoon, we are looking forward to sharing time together as a married couple. That means B gets to go fishing with J and J gets to appreciate the arts…especially musicals!
and many thanks to Tanya and Jason for the referral! They were one of my couples from back in 2004!

Ah, how can any wedding photographer not love the amazing spectacle that was today’s royal wedding? I was certainly was up at 6 AM (and those who know me, know how unlikely that typically is!) Jennifer Prince from Hill City Bride was able to snag some reservations at our local British Hang out, the Ploughcroft Tea Room where an extra ordinary tea was offered in celebration. (as always, click to view larger)
Music from a bagpiper entertained those outside
and Irish singers serenaded those inside.
If you were one of the lucky ones to get a reservation to this sold out event, you were able to enjoy lovely tea, biscuits, sandwiches, and other delightful tea treats!
And I of course enjoyed the fabulous fashions on display!
Come see more fashions on facebook!
Congratulations to William and Kate – may your love never end!
I never get over being excited about my work being in print! I’ve finally gotten the files together so I can share the cover of Lynchburg Living Magazine (AND all the times I’m featured in editorials inside!)
Here is the front – you may have seen this around town – if not, run to Magnolia Foods or The Farm Basket or any of the downtown restaurants to grab yourself a copy! (and as always, click on the image to view larger)
Then I got a lovely double truck spread for the first story on weddings – it shows a gorgeous sunset “portrait” from the King Family Vineyard.
Then my images are also showcased in articles about wedding flowers (centerpiece from the Jefferson Florist)
and a write up about invitations.
You can also see my ad in this section.
Amy and Bo rock the cherry blossoms!

I love it when my studio’s work is recognized! I especially enjoyed that this wedding was highlighted since it was an effort by both me and my awesome associate shooter!

What a way to ring in April! Showers threatened all day but my bride would not be deterred from her outdoor event and guess what? Not a drop fell!
and thanks to Tanya and Jason, former 2004 couple for the great referral! I loved seeing you guys again and congratulations on the upcoming arrival!
End of the night
It’s always great to get together with some of the fabulous vendors I see at weddings! I rarely have time time to chit chat during a regular wedding/event but tonight was our party night! Thank you to Amanda and Rhonda of Oak Ridge Estate for hosting this shingdig! (Click on the images to view larger.)
Festive Fare provided the lovely spring linens
With flowers from Pharsalia, Amy West from Blue Ridge Floral created fresh and fragrant arrangments
Delicious catering was provided by The Rock Barn, Field to Fork.
pork and coleslaw
foi gras

take a closer look – the top ball was watermelon!
tuna special
cauliflower soup with something yummy but I didn’t catch what it was!
Libations were provided by both Wintergreen Winery
and the Blue Mountain Brewery
Bennie Dodd provided the musical entertainment
as well as crowd control
and MC services! Here he helps introduce Claire Goodman and Jessica Sheffield, founders of CCWEP!
and since the photographers rarely get into the shot, here’s Bill and Anne Holland from Holland Photo Arts.
Thanks for setting up your photo booth for our crazy fun enjoyment!
