It was one of those wonderful spring time days with flowers blooming, birds chirping… well ok rain blowing while the sun was shining but nobody in this group even noticed! There was my daughter, one of the the lovely flower girls…
a giggley giddy wedding party waited as patiently as possible for the big moment…
and to choruses of ooo and aaaahsss, the big moment arrives
and is it ever really a wedding without a flower girl meltdown?
Thanks to all, especially the wedding planners extraordinaire, Miss Holly and Miss Karen! I’ll post the full gallery when it goes live!
Please note, limited images are available publicly due to the ages of the subjects.
What a pair! Through snow and sleet and cold of morn, nothing was going to stop these two! Not even an attack of the killer sky rats! (just kidding)
Y’all were great! Thanks!
On a blustery winter day, Whitney and Matt pledged themselves to each other in front of a warming group of friends and family. Afterwards they took a short jaunt across the street for some pictures by the Old Courthouse where Whitney used to work.
Of course Mr Beasley had to make a brief appearance!
As did Tom and Kay who had referred them to me! Thanks guys and congrats on the latest good news!
The celebration continued at the Meadowlark Botanical Gardens in their atrium building.
And, I hear it continued well into the wee hours of the night with karaoke! Congratulations you two! See more on their slideshow here!

I’m am always being asked “what can I do to get the best pictures on my wedding day?” As a documentary style photographer, I typically shoot what I find in place without reorganizing things. I love to get pictures of the wedding dress if possible but so many times it is still “locked up” in its bag with plastic hangers. I would suggest two things to brides.
1) take your dress out of the plastic bag. If it has a train, go ahead and let the train down to reduce or eliminate the wrinkles from where the train was hung up along the back.
2) invest a little bit of money or time to acquire a pretty SOLID hanger for the dress. I know of at least one of my brides that actually took extra fabric from the the bridesmaids dresses and had a hanger made. 🙂
If you’re not especially handy or kin to a talented seamstress well the INTERNET is your friend!
I’m a hug fan of Etsy for wonderful custom made exquisite things and this is just one of my Etsy Favorite Sellers. She creates things like this:
and this
or how about this one?
Maybe simpler is more your style?
It does make for less “industrial” pictures!
Stay tuned for more tips and tricks as the wedding season approaches! First wedding is this weekend!
